Special Assistant to the BTA Chair

The Vacancy
The BTA Chair is a public appointment by DCMS for 2 days/ week. The Special Assistant to the BTA Chair will support the BTA Chair in their role. The role will act as the conduit between BTA executives, non-executive board members and stakeholders, managing communication and helping the BTA Chair to fulfil their role.
This role offers a slant to a traditional EA role in that the role holder will be expected to work with the BTA Chair to ensure the administrative and operational requirements required to allow the BTA Chair to deliver their strategic vision.
The role will sit within the Company Secretariat team and report to the EA to the Company Secretary. The role will involve close liaison with, and support to, the Company Secretariat team, who have responsibility for managing and administering the BTA Board.
The Special Assistant will be a trusted professional who will ensure the Chair is fully supported in their day-to-day activities relating to BTA matters. They will act as the link between BTA executives, non-executive board members and stakeholders, managing communication and helping the Board function run smoothly.
The role is central to ensuring the Chair can operate at a strategic level while the operational details are handled with efficiency and discretion.
